At wild development LLC we offer a wide range of services from complete home renovations to minor interior cosmetic changes. Our clients come to us with a variety of reasons as to why they have decided to do a remodel project. Whether your project is large or small, we approach it with the same methodology.
First and foremost, we really listen to what our clients are trying to accomplish with their intended project. It is important for us to understand our clients' objective as it directly impacts how the project is planned, budgeted and executed. . In order to tailor a solution that best meets their needs, it is critical that we have a thorough understanding of everything they are trying to accomplish and why it is important to them.
We listen and understand our clients' current situation – what they like about their home and what is working for them now.
We also listen to what they see as problem areas that they would like to improve. It is also important for us to understand the implications of their problem areas so we can make appropriate recommendations.
Some examples are:
- The family is growing and the client doesn't have enough room for an additional family member who will be moving in. This could be a new baby, or it could be an adult child moving back into the nest – or maybe an aging parent who will soon be living with them. The impending change may upset the current "rhythm" of their home and they want to make sure that their remodel project will restore some "equilibrium" to their home life.
- Updating and improving for the client who wants to sell their home but it isn't moving as potential buyers are turned off by its dated appearance. They may have realized that many buyers aren't interested in having to make the changes themselves and want to purchase a more "move in ready" home. This is particularly important now as with the many choices that home buyers have available to them in our Phoenix metropolitan area today, it is very much a "buyer's market".
- Luxury space for the client has a very stressful career and wants to create a "sanctuary" area in their home to unwind and decompress from their job. This could be a spa-like bathroom with a soaking tub, a quiet sitting area to read a book or even an exercise room.
- People space for the client likes to entertain but their home or yard is not conducive to it so they don't do it but would like to…
Looking Forward
We also feel it's important to understand how long they intend to remain in their home. If they plan to stay in their homes for 10 to 15 years, many more factors are taken into consideration – their present lifestyle as well as allowing the future changes. If a client is only planning to stay for a few years, future considerations are less important that their potential return on investment.
With remodeling, in addition to creating something for you and your family to enjoy, it is also prudent to consider resale.
wild development LLC owner, Mary Wild, is also an Arizona licensed Realtor so she is able to provide practical advice regarding what type of remodel is most appropriate for your home. She has access to current market trends, home sales data and comparable property information to make appropriate suggestions as to what type of a remodel makes the most sense for your home. She can also make suggestions as to what "finishes" should be incorporated into your design based on market trends and the surrounding neighborhood.
You don't want to "over improve" your home by spending money that you will never recover (i.e. we would not recommend high end kitchen appliances like Viking, Wolf and Sub Zero in a neighborhood with an average home sales price of $200,000.)
But you also don't want to skimp so much that your home will not sell as well as your neighbors who have made improvements appropriate to your neighborhood (i.e. if your home is in a $1 Million neighborhood we would strongly advise you not to install laminate countertops in your kitchen.)

- Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen remodeling can be very extensive with the existing kitchen completely removed and you starting from scratch with "brand new everything" from cabinets, appliances, countertops, plumbing and flooring and even changing the layout if desired. Or it can be minimal with just minor cosmetic improvements to an existing kitchen.
Kitchens have changed significantly over the years. "Back in the day" kitchens were basically hidden from the rest of the house.
Now kitchens are more than just a place to prepare meals. The kitchen has become the focal point and "hub" of the home where friends and family actually "live" and spend the majority of their time. Many of our clients have chosen to expand their kitchen and incorporate it into a "great room" concept. Our clients have expressed a desire not to be sequestered into a tucked away kitchen area that is far away from family and friends.
The kitchen is one of the two best areas (the master bathroom is the other) to remodel for a variety of reasons. There are multiple ways to approach a kitchen remodel and based on your needs and goals wild development LLC can tailor a solution that will work best for your family and lifestyle needs.
Many of our clients want to have their kitchens be "where the action" is so they are not separated during meal preparation. As part of this trend, formal eating areas and traditional tables and chairs have been replaced with oversized countertops with barstools. Also, meal preparation, in many cases, is no longer "just Mom's" responsibility. With the increase of dual career families, the entire family may now participate in meal preparation. This can necessitate a change in the kitchen's layout to incorporate multiple prep areas to accommodate more than one cook.
Some of our clients are satisfied with the overall layout of their kitchens but they just want it updated with a fresh new look. Sometimes our clients have budgetary considerations, especially if they are not planning to remain in their home for many more years. In those situations, we incorporate new design concepts for countertops, lighting and backsplashes while retaining their current cabinets and appliances which helps to control expenses considerably. We can give their kitchens a new look and feel without a significant cost outlay.
- Bathroom Remodeling

Bathrooms – particularly the master bathroom is one of the best places to invest when remodeling your home.
It is the one room, aside from the kitchen, that homeowners spend a significant part of their day. Our clients typically begin and end their day in their master bathroom – and as such have expressed a desire to make it better meet their needs.
Bathrooms in the past were primarily functional. Today, clients, as well as potential homebuyers, are expecting more from their master bathrooms. Many want to create a "spa" experience at home – particularly now days.
Our clients have expressed a desire for many upgrades that will make their lives more relaxing at the beginning and end of their days. It could be incorporating a soaking tub with room for candles in which to unwind with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day, a shower with extra shower heads and jets, niches in the shower for various personal care products, a sit down make up vanity to make getting ready in the morning more relaxing, TVs to watch their favorite morning TV show…..The list goes on and on…
Many of our clients are no longer satisfied with the cookie cutter "cultured marble" shower surrounds and countertops that we re the standard in years gone by. They want their bathrooms to be beautiful, relaxing and practical.

The "family studio" has recently sprung up as an alternative to the traditional, boring and mundane "laundry room." In the past, the laundry room was a "necessary evil" type room that was basically avoided until absolutely necessary. But in all reality, particularly with busy active families, the laundry room is heavily used. Our client's didn't like being in there but it was unavoidable
Recognizing that laundry rooms are inevitable, wild development LLC has helped some of our clients design or transform this "dreaded" space into something much more appealing.
We have helped our clients discover that the "family studio" can be more desirable by giving it a "cheerier" look and increasing its functionality. For some of our clients, we have added a Mom's "mission control" desk area to keep track of all of the family's activities and relevant information. We have incorporated bright lighting, beautiful finishes, TV and PC accessibility, better cabinet and counter layouts – all in an attempt to make the "laundry room" be more appealing.

- Kids Retreats - Flex Room and Entertainment Centers

We no longer live in a time where we can "send our children out to play and have them come home when it's dark out". The world is not as safe of a place as it was in previous years so many parents are finding, for a variety of reasons that they prefer to have their kids and their friends, hang out at their own home.
Kids on the other hand, prefer to "hang out at the home of their friends who have a "cool" place to hang out". So in an attempt for compromise, many parents are incorporating separate family rooms for their kids called "kids' retreats" or "flex" rooms so they will have their own space to hang out in at home.
